DIY Daisy Gift Wrap – A Fun Summer Craft with a Petal Party Twist
If you’re looking for a cheerful summer craft to keep little hands busy—or just fancy wrapping gifts in something truly unique—this handprinted daisy gift wrap is the cutest solution. It’s fun, easy and makes the perfect pairing with our signature “Hey Petal” cake flag topper.
Using nothing more than a rubber block, a splash of paint, and a little imagination, you can turn plain paper into playful daisy-filled wrapping that’s perfect for birthdays, summer party gifts, or just for fun!
What You’ll Need:
- A rubber carving block (or a large eraser)
- Pencil
- Craft knife or scissors
- Acrylic paint (we used yellow and white)
- Plate or palette
- Paintbrush (optional)
- Green wrapping paper or craft roll
- Our “Hey Petal” flag topper (optional but adorable!)
Step 1: Sketch Your Daisy Petal & Centre
Start by sketching a daisy shaped petal and a circle onto a rubber block. Don’t worry about perfection—playful is the goal here! If you don’t have a spare rubber, a potato can work really well or foam shapes.
Step 2: Cut Your Stamps
Using scissors or a craft knife (adults only for this part!), cut out one petal shape and a round circle for the flower centre. These will be your stamps.
Step 3: Start Stamping the Centres
Dip your round stamp into yellow paint and start stamping across your green paper. These sunny yellow dots will be the centre of each daisy.
Step 4: Add the Petals
Using the petal stamp and white paint, begin stamping around each yellow dot to build your flowers. You can vary the number of petals and placement for a fun, handmade feel.
Step 5: Let It Dry
Allow your paper to dry completely before wrapping. The painted texture adds so much charm!
Step 6: Wrap & Finish With a Blooming Lovely Topper
